I once adhered to the exact opposite sentiment than what I expressed in this piece…I once would hold tight to everything in an attempt to be prepared for all eventualities. Only after years of trying to control every aspect of my life did I realize there was always one scenario I overlooked, and that would invariably be the one to come true.
Letting go often proves harder than holding on, but once that happens, we stop resisting the path on which we’re supposed to travel. Be ready to change direction unexpectedly, for there’s nothing so futile ~ or frustrating ~ as attempting to control the universe. Instead, enjoy the journey.
