When I saw the heavy fog that clung to the horizon on a particularly humid day at the seaside, I thought of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and how the children sail to the waterfall that marks the end of the earth. The fog on this day seemed like a soft, pale curtain, but I chose to replace it with my favorite iron grey sky (actually a photograph of an old chalkboard and a snowstorm that I layered together). I wouldn’t mind sailing to the end of the world if it meant I could travel endlessly along the blue waters and brilliant green shores…I would just have to remember to pack extra batteries for my camera.
